Has there been any effort to catalog and sort PS1 accessories? Notable unlicensed and of course, licensed ones? It seems like there's not a lot of info out there on things like Hori and ASCII controllers, devices like the Waka, but why?

I understand there's a huge appeal to Nintendo and especially Sega, but Sony is still a big player. What are some neat PS1 accessories you have or know about?

My local store has one of those massive dual analog controllers, but the list of compatible games is pretty small... I guess Vigilante 8 would be fun to play with one. Most unique accessory I've seen for the system. I get more of a kick out of finding peripherals like that than actual games out in the wild

The pocketstation was a memorycard handheld similar to the dreamcast vmu. It could save your game data and certain ps1 titles could send over minigames you could take with you on the go, all via infrared.

Is there much else out there with a decent amount of utility? I love different controller types and accessories that enhance playability. The pocket station always seemed like a bit of a gimmick.
