That game was really cool back in the day, as the original author had to revisit and draw Midler. In the original comic, she controlled her stand from afar, so she only appeared in one panel, dead and all you see was her legs. Kind of like how R.Mika was a side character that appeared in only one panel (the mountain of defeated opponents by Kanzuki Karin) but Capcom was like "good enough for a full character in our game!" So I thought it was neat to see Midler in the game, even through the game was pratically all JoJo and Dio.

There's various Nadia games but I guess you're talking about the Mega Drive game by Namco.
It's... really charming and I enjoyed it as a fan of the series, but it's a weird game. It gives the impression of being a traditional RPG when you start playing it, but it has no battles whatsoever, no HP meter or life count or anything. It's a straight adventure game, like a point and click adventure game, kinda, but plays like a console RPG in the way you explore the maps, if that makes any sense.
It's also very linear as it follows the events of the series (although it branches out at the end and goes for an alternate ending different from the original series, which was pretty cool).
There are some tedious parts, like navigating certain mazes (such as the nautilus, or gargoyle's base) can become really confusing due to a lot of hallways looking the same, you have to memorize where certain items are also, because the game doesn't let you carry an key item before certain events happen, so sometimes, you see an item, but can't pick it up ("I don't need this now"), but then you trigger something else, and then you need the item, so you have to go all the way back to pick it up. It's annoying, but still the game isn't too long, and for the most part I enjoyed it. It is pretty comfy.

How about the PC-Engine Secret of Blue Water?

its alright. its filled with infinites that take very low amount of tech skill and has an unintuitive combo system that makes learning the game very boring. the best thing it has going for it is its jojo and thats kind of it. it recently got a huge surge of players on fightcade because of the david production anime's success and current following.

Never played it, but it seems to be a straight visual novel. I didn't play that one, but I did play the Gunbuster title for PC Engine, and it was a recreation of the series with quiz, if you failed, you'd see comical (and lewd) scenes of Noriko getting busted. Not sure if the Nadia game was also quiz-based.
Many of the fan-favorites in Japan seem to be quiz visual novels with alternate bad endings, though. It's barely a real video game most of the time, but it's entertaining if you enjoy the series.
There's also the Famicom game of Nadia, which is like a strategy board game, kinda like chess, but with Nadia characters. Really weird, never fucked around with it much but it seems like a comfy play.

I was just wondering how Capcom could figure characters that appear in only one panel of a comic is better designed than anything their own artists could do.

>>5809885
Sounds nice. I only watched the early few episodes and the movie and played the strip mahjong game so I think the Mega Drive game may be the way to go for me.

Just be honest, OP. You only played it after seeing the boom in Jojo popularity in the last few years.
