This may be a long shot to ask here on this thread. Does anyone know where to download the raw of GCCX episodes #154 and 155 (Metro Cross Part 1 and 2)? These are the only standard GCCX episode raws I am missing from my hard drive that have yet to be subbed. The videos range from HD to super poor quality. I already know where to find a streaming video, but don't know how to rip videos from Youku without installing other software. Anyone here can help?

As far as SA-GCCX goes, I know they've said one reason is a lack of decent quality raws.

Season 1 has been subbed (horrendously, and cut to hell) by TV-Nihon, and they've said that episodes that are already subbed aren't as high as a priority as other episodes. That's why their Magical Quest sub isn't finished yet, though it's almost done, it'll probably be out soon enough.

I still can't understand what makes Japanese TV so distinct looking, i can spot it from a mile away, even if the subjects on screen weren't japanese, I don't know if they use different cameras or different lighting techniques, but it has this very distinct look on the picture. I can't put my finger on what it is, but it's there

anon is saying that there are no versions that don't have the shitty subs. They're hardsubbed, as in, 'there is no sub file, the words are part of the video'. Putting a softsub over a hardsub will just put tons of words down at the bottom.

It's only scripted to the degree that any reality series is scripted (like with selective editing). The intros are written out, and the whole Kacho/AD thing is obviously a loose comedic premise, but Arino ad-libs constantly, and everyone's game play and reactions are genuine. He played the game already and he STILL needs the strategy guide because he forgot everything, and it's seriously a guy mostly sitting in silence and occasionally commenting to himself or his staff. Sure, parts and even some episodes are scripted to a certain point. But the live progress and Arino's Tenacity are the real deal.
I recently watched the Super Star Force episode and i have to say that he has more patience than i could had thought; he played for more than two days a game whose genre he abhors, yet he was grasping the ending; should had he been prepared for the True Final Stage, he would had cleared the game. Hell, he got the Bad End killing Gordess without the time stones!

I recommend you watch all of them. There are a few slow ones but they are all worth watching. DO NOT skip the episode with the train game. You may think it'll be slow and boring but it's fun and awesome.

As for why I like him. Positive, persistent, nerdy (love for games and especially manga). He's not really that great at games, but through persistence he hammers through them and tries his best. Also, I feel like his humor is pretty low key and not over the top like most people would play it, though he does surprise you at time. He's just really super likable and charismatic in a reserved kind of way. Kacho is the shit.

Aside from speculation, do we actually have any conclusive evidence on that? Some people pop up every now and then and seem really sure, so I'm just wondering if there's something incredibly damning and more than circumstantial that I'm just unaware of?

When you say "just said" was this something very recent like the past few days, or are you referring to what she said on the subject back before the current paywall went up, right around when LC released Mickey?

Because what she said then, which is what I last saw, is that it was a mismanagement of priorities for her to sub episodes that other groups, such as LC, already released, before she started working on stuff that no group anywhere was doing, and hence she would probably stop working on the Mickey episode that she was already in the middle of since LC release theirs.

But I didn't really take that as an admission where she was definitively saying that in the past, yes, she had in fact started working on episodes specifically because other groups already had started to and she wanted to beat them in some kind race.

Which is why I'm asking if she said something to that effect in like the past couple of days?

I only found the show recently, and I learned about the "controversies" even more recently than that - so I've been trying to play catch up and get answers when I can.

However, I really can't see taking such a militaristic view, especially considering what we're talking about is infinitely more trivial than a life or death situation.

At the end of day we're just trying to figure out whether someone is attempting to best another by being the quickest and only one to freely translate a Japanese television show about a middle aged man that ineptly marathons retro video games.

the sites listed at the top have either just the challenge segments, and one site has 3 episodes, but not the others.
