Holy cow the Trenchbroom is so easy to use. Installed just an hour ago, and it took me this amount of time to learn basics and throw out this shit on pic. I did a couple of Doom maps before, and wanted to try Quake once, but got overwhelmed by whatever editor was popular then, QuArk probably. TB on the other hand really feels like DoomBuilder but extended into the third dimension.

Finished Deathwish Episode 2 for Blood. And it was.....awesome!
The original soundtrack sets the mood,Tchernobog who constantly taunts you is a nice touch,he really does everything he can to destroy you.

It progressively gets crazier and puts you in insane situation,the variety is astonishing.

The only issues I've found are backtracking and maybe it gets difficult in certain section but no big deal.

I tested it, several good and bad things about this. Great effort, here are my points:
>Shotguns are great, don't change them at all, I fucking love the super shotgun, it's perfect
>pistol consumes too much ammo for it's dmg, I would suggest making the clips give 15 ammo instead of 10
>Chaingun replacement is a beast, it should sound like a cannon, not a nailgun from wal-mart
>rocket launcher is super satisfying
>plasma gun has little feedback when firing and the blue exhaust out of the front makes it hard to aim
>BFG whining after firing is kinda annoying but the delay before it explodes is sweet

the SSG is just faster, and minus that annoyance I mentioned earlier, it's also a straight upgrade
the chaingun I think is mostly an upgrade (double ammo efficiency is hard to ignore), but the loss of stunlock power hurts
and while the pistol has some stunlock power, the fact that it's eating up the chaingun's ammo supply for much, *much* less damage makes me not want to use it

I'm still kicking. After that raw meat situation, I mixed some white into my red and made him pink. It wasn't pale enough and he looked like Patrick Star. Also, I didn't thin my paints well enough so some of the detail on his chest started getting muddied. I dunked him in LA Totally Awesome for about a day or two, scrubbed him clean, and left him to dry. Haven't touched him since. I actually finished up the Imp to the best of my abilities, and started on Doomguy himself. He's basically finished as well, just needs some touchup. Things have been going a bit slower than I'd like, and that's due to life and general lack of motivation. I still got a Cacodemon and another Mancubus to do as well, and that''ll be it for my Reaper duplicates, all that's left is the Klukva minis and Hardcore minis, but I want to make special Hell themed bases for the Klukvas, and the Hardcores aren't even in yet.

TNTR had a map with some pretty decent caves, have a look at that for some inspiration. Map 16 : Devil's Den, I think it was called.

I'd say curved walls forming into occasional unreachable crevices would be good, as well as layering some walls as multiple steps (close to each other), and it should be dark, light should be based around places or objects which would provide light. Simulated dynamic lights may look quite good here.

You'll want to make sure to still have some landmark features though.

Yes, but not really. One of the quirks of vanilla (Netquake) physics is that slopes don't let the player stand still on them and you'll always slowly slide down. That's one of the things that Quakeworld changed.

I'm happy with how doomguy turns out to be today, he really is on par with Build Engine trio now.
I hate modern BJ and it pleases me hearing his screams in QC.
Ranger got some personality in QC, but it doesn't matter much in MP-only game.
Lo Wang was nice in SW2013, he's an asshole at first but grows throughout the story. SW2 on the other hand ruined all of that.

The point of BJ's father was to show why the protagonist hates nazis so much.
Which itself is dumb,everything BJ went through in Old Blood and New Order was enough. Companions dead or tortured,forced to choose which one had to die etc.

BJ's father would've been better if he was a man who did his best to maintain the family but that lead nowhere which explains why is so aggressive,money is not enough.
The could've done two things with the dog scene:
1)"The dog has been sick for days,we have to put it out of its misery,come with me BJ,I'll teach you how to kill"

2)"We're running out of money,we don't have more options,this is what we must do in order to survive"

Something better than "this dog bite me,kill it".

Why am I saying this? Because before you meet your father again,you see another flashback where you think their relationship is going somewhere but it doesn't.
BJ's dad is nothing but a plot device.

BJ's father is terrible,both as a person and how he was written.

Speaking of dreams,the part where BJ fights in the courtroom,which was the most difficult part in the game and it didn't happen at all. A total slap in the face.

That courtroom part was the only part of the game I had fun with, it actually felt like there were enough enemies that it was a challenge, whereas in every other level there were like seven enemies at once and fights just felt too short.
