Ninja is the strongest character in the game if you know what you're doing. His only weakness is that some mid attacks can hit you when you're ducking, but that's only an issue on the stage 4 boss mainly.

If the game is too easy for you, you could always shove a baby alligator up your asshole and set your house on fire before you press start. That would be a manly challenge.

Nice, always liked set up heavy but strong characters like that, going to stick with him for the remake

1cced it with ninja on hard a few days ago. Ive heard kunoichi is more technical and more powerful if you use her right. super solid and fun game

>> No.5765284

>>5765278
Kunoichi is the weakest character. She's still really good, but not as good as the other two. She's probably the best for speedruns though because she can save a lot of time by leaping past the cannon fodder.

I'm skimming through your video on twitch right now. Pretty good. You should buffer Ninja's crouch punches into his standing finisher though. Also, his crouch punch has the exact same reach as his standing punch so it's a better option most of the time.

Forgot to mention, "despite looking shorter". The sprite is misleading.

I think you'll end up agreeing with me. Ninja just needs adjustment (i.e., specific strats) on certain bosses, but overall he wipes the floor with Kunoichi. Especially on Hard mode.

Did they make any stupid changes to the core gameplay like they did with Wildguns by sharing lives and not allowing continues in co-op?

>> No.5766721

>>5766648
Well adding co-op to this version changes the core gameplay. I tested it a bit and it looks like you share the armour and battery gauge and can't select the same character. As in single player, you only have one life before game over but it looks like you can continue indefinitely.

That's gay, but original didn't have Co-op to begin with, so I guess I don't care.

Original was also like this, so no problems there.

>> No.5766773

I was wondering about that too. My guess is they couldn't implement a way to prevent infinite milking or something.

It may not have, but that would have been a perfect chance to develop a cool combo system or implement a bonus for no damage instead of just "go fast lol"

I haven't playing Ninja Warriors Again in a while. If all enemies have to be killed to advance, then time attack works well enough, but if you can skip any combat for a faster time, that's bullshit.

I just like score attack and am tired of action games ignoring it, especially retro-style action games.

Always heard good things about this game. After finally playing it I couldn't help but notice it sucks. It's not much more than a typical beat 'em up limited to a single plane without the aesthetics of the best of that less-than-stellar genre.

clock speed doesn't even matter though. the 68000 takes like 4 cycles at minimum to do any real work.

the issue is that it's complex to program and optimize (and that the data bus is only 8-bits wide).
a good 65816 programmer can probably get to to around 75% of the performance of the genesis 68000.
