Post games that ACTUALLY make you nostalgic (not meaning the game is bad or good just personal nostalgic feelings).

Some games I'm so nostalgic for, just hearing a brief snippet of a song from the game makes me fucking have a heart attack. Shout outs to games like Tiny Toons for the NES and Jurassic Park for the SNES.

Unironically Bubsy. It was one of the first games I played as a kid (actual first was probably Ms. Pac-Man) and I had no perspective on quality so I loved it. Can recognize its gigantic flaws now but I can still play it from beginning to end and enjoy it from nostalgia alone, and have at least the first three levels memorized.

Ah I remember seeing MGS figures like these at some video game store at a mall stopping by Dover one time. What a time it was with the build up of hype for the succeeding generation of consoles and sequels of hit gen franchises of the fifth generation era. Also the numerous stream of titles trying to grab your attention in between all that went on.

Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure (might be the first one I've played)
Jetpack
Bio Menace
Commander Keen
Word Rescue
Jill of the Jungle
Speed Racer
Alone in the Dark
and some german Atlantis game that's impossible to beat

The list of games I feel nostalgic for is rapidly shrinking. For me, once I've gone back and replayed a title, or finished a game I had never been able to complete as a kid, it's like I've been given closure and I can't seem to muster any of those childhood feelings anymore.

This is the Atlantis one I was mentioning, as soon as you move that bird with tits starts attacking and most enemies kill you with 1 hit

I still get nostalgic feelings for Ehrgeiz, even though I've played it for a lot of times, same with UT and Carmageddon 2. Even if you played them from time to time. Maybe it's just remembering the good times.

Were the characters balanced at all? I haven't heard much praise in that regard, the dungeon crawler part seems somewhat charming though.

after playing ff7 back when it first came out my brother bought this and i really enjoyed it but he ended up borrowing it to a friend for a shitty racing game, and when we got the game back there was a chunk of disk broken off. I was mad i'd never get to play it again. But i recently emulated it a year ago or so and it just plays horribly.

Unironically yes. They only seem to resonate with niggers and bugmen, the former because they're an inherently violent subspecies, the latter because of their affinity for highly repetitive gameplay.

The only thing I remember about the fighting game part was playing as Final Fantasy 7 characters all the time.

I sunk far, far more hours into its RPG mode.

Games like this, Banjo, Super Metroid, Super Mario RPG etc that created the notion among my friends and I of "competitive single player games". we would show off how far ahead in the games one was compared to others.

I have such a hard time letting go of my old favorite games that there's not many I feel nostalgic for.

Maybe pic related. It was the first game I got at Blockbuster.

Star Gladiator, nostalgic in different manner. You can literally feel the 80s vibe through it, due to fact that it's based on the old Star Wars.
