the Taito Flintstones games have been meme'd to fuck all but they are pretty decent
what are /vr/ thoughts

I've only played halfway through the first one.
My only complaints are the somewhat slippery controls and constantly recycled music. It's always nice to play a decent sidescroller that doesn't repeat level graphics every five minutes and has a gimmick that doesn't hold back the game. While we're talking about gimmicks though I would've preferred to get power-ups from secret spots in the levels or by beating the bosses rather from some shitty basketball mini-game though.

The range of Fred's club feels really weird, but he's well animated and I think his ledge climb and neat. The second game bringing Barney in as a playable character and adjusting how subweapon ammo works is neat too

Yeah, I actually remember the Mario hack that's been meme'd lately. A friend had it back in 1993 or so.
I got another bootleg version for my Famiclone, but of the original Flintstones game. The fact you could travel to the future and meet the Jetsons blew my mind.
Taito also made good Jetsons games, check out the NES and SNES games. There's also a Game Boy jetsons game that I haven't played but looks fine.

Crossovers happened in the shows too.

I like the NES Jetsons, I don't like the SNES one.

It was actually a TV special, wasn't it? But it was the other way around, Jetsons traveled to the past and met the Flintstones.

I really enjoyed SNES Jetsons, someday I should play the japanese version with anime girl instead of George.

I think the insane price of Dinosaur Peak hasmade it reasonably infamous among people.

They're pretty solid platformers though and worth playing.
>>5757465
I believe its the exact same game design wise, the sprites being the only altered aspect of the game.

FLEENSTONES?!

I'm glad the flagship h-b sitcoms got a good developer to represent them.
how did the other h-b properties fare in video games? tom and jerry wasn't too graced (although I must say I have nostalgia for the NES and SNES T&J games)

I always found "the rescue of dino and hoppy" to be an eerie game, the weird artwork for cutscenes and dreamy-sounding music didn't help.

There's a Yogi Bear game on genesis I think that's pretty meh.
There's also a racing game with H-B characters on snes, it's pretty ok.
Wacky Races on Dreamcast is pretty fun, the nes game is enjoyable.
Scooby-Doo got some decent games too (i like classic creep capers and mistery).

Rather fond of the Genesis game, the SNES game with the board game worldmap is neat too.

The Game Boy Jetsons game is really good

One of my first games during my NES connecting phase. Hard as shit and no fun after a while, but I love it

Fuck, I haven't seen that screen since I was a kid.
That scene must have impacted me as a kid because I remember it clearly, it is very unsettling.
