Gex 64 is an awful port, the ps1 version is actually a solid game.

they cared about which games were good or bad, but they didn't treat an entire console like it was shit. everyone knew that each console had its good titles and bad titles, and if you had some shit ones by mistake you didn't show those off when your friends came over. you'd play the good ones on psx at your house, and the good ones on n64 at your friend's house.
back then you didn't look up a console's entire library and count how many good ones there were on metacritic and run numbers to figure out which one was better, you just played what you both had.
