I can sort of see the appeal of a book like this. I wish he had went with a cleaner page design though, it bugs me a lot that the backgrounds are all decorated differently and clash with the screenshots.
I'll probably never get it beyond this PDF, but it seems like it could be fun to look through on the toilet or something.

For now I'd much rather get reviews, screenshots and information on games from the multitude of online resources and different people.

Agreed, that is my biggest problem with it. He also has done well with the app version of it which I do sometimes use, its easily searchable if you're out in the wild and curious about a games quality or rarity.

He is doing a SNES Guide that hes about to release and said he took advice from the first and hired more writers (instead of just asking friends to do it for free and writing the rest himself with Ian) and an editor. He is a sample page. Looks a lot cleaner. You can see more preview pages here:
