Why is Nintendulator the only NES emulator that actually emulates the Engage Ridley code correctly? Every other emulator I tried just crashes. Shameful.

Crashing is the correct behavior on a real machine. It causes the CPU to execute a HLT instruction.

Fun fact. If you have one of those chink 143 in 1 multicarts, using that code spawns you in Tourain

I know when an emulator works and when it doesn't. If it can't do the Ridley code then it doesn't work.

Can confirm i been doing this shit on genuine hardware since i was a kid dont listen to some tard who tells you it crashes the console.

Don't waste your money on real games, just use an emulator. It just works, bro.

Can't believe a six year old version of Yabause doesn't run every game perfectly. I guess emulation is finished. It's too bad no one's improved Yabause or made a better Saturn emulator since then.

Even the latest versions and it's forks have similar issues. Grandia for example will completely shit itself at every FMV.

Mednafen isn't free of issues either. In some cases it runs too fast, in others it wont crash when real hardware will or vice versa which makes debugging hacks and homebrew a nightmare.

Then there's features of that hardware that's not emulated at all like the Video CD card. That's been causing headaches for the people trying to translate Lunar Silver Star Story Complete as it's made it harder to debug it.
