Mystical Ninja starring Goemon has all the songs.
Goemon's Great Adventure got the opening and impact songs removed for whatever retarded reason.
Eh, play the japanese originals if you can read japanese, otherwise play the english version of GGA and then watch the opening and impact videos on Youtube. Not the same, I know, but there isn't any other important thing that was removed in the game. Oh yeah, the manji blocks were turned into star blocks because "Muh nazism"

Mystical Ninja 64 removed the voice acting of the intro and final cuscenes too.
Legend of the Mystical Ninja has some censorship (Goemon watching a stripshow or A skit with Ebisumaru farting).

A lot of older japanese OST CDs are really expensive and hard to come by.
I'd love to own Goemon OSTs, Super Mario World (the 2-CD set), Super Butoden games and other DBZ games OSTs. But they're all super expensive and I'm like just fine by owning the mp3s and having some scans of the booklets.

Maybe someday I'll give them an honest try.
But yeah, while fun gameplay and good design is an important aspect, the other aspect that makes the Goemon series great is the art design and humor. It's a series that really made a fleshed out world of characters and situations that actually match (and tops, in many cases) all the 80s and 90s shonen TV series. It's definitely part of the appeal. New goemon is like the disappointing, rebooted 2000s version which got promptly retconned and forgotten.
I'm sure they aren't horrible and probably still good games, but the art direction alone earned it the black sheep reputation.
The designs aren't even that bad though, just generic anime style from the era. Classic goemon has a timeless design.
