OK /vr/, show me your knowledge. Give me examples of most cryptic, illogical and plain moronic puzzles, preferably in adventure games.

Hard mode: no Sierra games
picrel: a "puzzle" that breaks the game for me because of how badly it's implemented (that's a cat race track ticket puzzle from grim fandango)

what's that?

I once solved this one (mostly) blind on easy. I say mostly because it had been over a decade since I played it the first time, and I just straight looked it up the first time.

There is some logic to it, but it's easily the most unintuitive puzzle I've come across. And so early in the game, I guess they expected you to spend a lot of the time at the school.

Do you have to play the keys in a certain order based on the blood pattern?

This poem was on a blackboard in a classroom. This was supposed to reveal the correct order the keys needed to be played in:

First flew the greedy Pelican,
eager for the reward.
White wings flailing.
Then came a silent Dove,
flying beyond the Pelican,
as far as he could.
A Raven flies in,
flying higher than the Dove.
Just to show he can.
A Swan glides in to find a peaceful spot
next to another bird.
Finally, out comes a Crow,
coming quickly to a stop, yawning and then napping.
Who will show the way?
Who will be the key?
Who will lead to the silver reward?

A pelican with white wings flew, meaning the first key is white.
A dove flying as far beyond the pelican, meaning another white key far from the first is next.
A raven flies farther than the dove, meaning a black key beyond the last white key is next.
A swan then appears next to another bird, meaning a white key is next, one that is adjacent to another that has been played.
A crow flies in but quickly stops, meaning the very first black key on the left is played last.

Everything about the cat race puzzle is out there to figure out. Just use your brain.

>Clear 40 beat combos in DJ practice mode, and then beat Rude Boy in arcade mode. The first 10 secret characters must be unlocked in order to have enough beat combos to unlock Rude Boy.

This one was easy as fuck. It's an addition puzzle.

Not a puzzle but the chase sequence after beating the final boss of Parasite Eve was absolute fucking garbage full of beginner trap game overs. Inexcusable for what is, otherwise, a very good game.

How so? It's pretty logical.

I don't remember if it was the mouse puzzle or pic related that severed my interest in trying to beat the game without a guide, but I definitely didn't figure either of them out on my own.

After a certain point, solving puzzles like this stops being fun and becomes frustrating as all fuck.

I found this hidden message on a game some time ago. Can't remember the name of the game, but for some reason I still have it writen.
