No one can actually believe this when companies like Capcom exist right, Treasure's made some alright games but they never made any masterpieces or were massively influential they're just a niche company making niche games for the most part.

I know people giggle at them now, but they undoubtedly reached God status in the late 90s. They are like the Cincinnati Bengals - Good back in the prehistoric times, but now known as one of the biggest laughingstocks in each industry.

Have to agree with this.
There's many niche or smaller devs and publishers who were really good and have many diehard fans, but when it comes to retro specifically, you can't beat the Big 4 Demons of vidya.
