Can you really do "horror" with everything displayed in an isometric long shot?

You can feel a bit of horror in x-com, so I guess yes?

I bought Veil of darkness like the week it came out. I did manage to beat it, I remember the puzzles and some of the other stuff in it was weird. But I don't remember hating the game at all.

The two Elvira adventures, Waxworks (so pretty much all the Horror Soft Ltd. Games) and the Dark Seed games come to mind. Maybe also DreamWeb, despite being more of a Cyberpunk game, but a rather grim one.

Somebody said horror adventure?
"Realms of the haunting" and "The Legacy: Realms of terror" are your choice.

I'm actually a bit glad we got out of this idea of disgusting games. Shame it also ended legit puzzles in games.
