The bubble's going to pop soon, r-right?

I don't actually buy games all that often, but if the price is less than what it cost when it was new, it seems fair to me.

That game was probably on clearance for $5 new at some point.

Back then there were probably a lot more copies available too. Supply shrinks, prices rise.

>obscure bullshit title that no one care about costs more than $5
Woah! Prices across the board have dropped except for the actually rare and good games. There's copeis of NES Zelda all day for $15 and under again.

>obscure
It was one of the more available Saturn games. Like not even 5 years ago it literally held no value.

good thing there's not many people into collecting physical anime, it already is pretty bad.

That's why not many are into collecting physical releases for anime.

that version of UY2 is expensive because it's the only one in the world to be on DVD and at the correct 4:3 aspect ratio. The japanese DVD and BD were edited on 16:9, as it was shown in theatres, but the truth is, the movie was made with the same cels they used for the TV series, so they did it in 4:3. The old japanese VHS are in 4:3, and not sure but I think the LD might as well, but the only time this movie was edited on DVD at correct resolution was by US Manga Corps. Even japanese fans want to buy it.
Anyway, there were reissues so it's not as expensive now, but the original can still go for high prices at auctions.

Common games are going to continue to decrease in price, but rare items are going to continue to get more expensive. This is how it always goes.

Also came out for PSX you unbelievable retard. Alien Trilogy isn’t obscure in the least.

How young are you that you're trying to argue with me about Saturn not being an obscure console? What in the fuck is this board today.

Did you miss the bit where I said the game isn't at all obscure?

Not that anon but path of least resistance and hinderance in accessing compatible hardware (both eg. technology; proprietary peripherals, connections, remakes) combined with decline of nostalgia due to incoming deaths of the generation experiencing said nostalgia the next few decade will pretty surely change the way "retro" games will be played and thus the demand aka the price.
In 60 years the bubble could have popped for nes games for example. Nobody is alive when it came out, nobody wants to buy that old shit toaster to connect it to their ey-Display (how are you going to Transport it... Tape it to your head?), there would be an all in one game for the system to download for free, etc...

Nobody will want that copy of little Samson except a few select collectors, and the market will be flooded by then. This is the same shit with the puppets everybody collected (for a high price) early 20th century and nobody gives two shits about them anymore. Bubble do Pop, the time span is important though, if it takes longer than you live it acts like if it is permanent

Did you miss the bit where it's on Saturn and not PS1?
