Literally the "retro-console" of gen Z. No person over the age of 21 thinks this is a good system. Shit hardware, shit controller, shit library, etc. 2 or 3 good games doesnt make a great or even a good console. Everyone I know who has or had an N64 had the same 5 games because the rest were absolute shit. It baffles me how anyone could say the n64 is better than the Saturn or PS1.

it's a mediocre system, especially in a direct comparison with its amazing immediate predecessor. Mario 64 is great, OoT is also great, but its "GOAT status" is all due the Nintendo Bonus, F-Zero X is great, Star Fox 64 is very good, Smash 64 is decent, Nintendo stuff on it is mostly solid, but Rare stuff is overrated as fuck on the whole

then you're left with yearly sports games, wrestling games, racing games of variable quality and the occasional underrated game like Wonder Project J2 or the Goemon games

So at the earliest these people were born in 1998. Their childhood video game system would have been from 6th gen. An N64 game might be their earliest video game memory.
