I've seen the speedrun on RPG Limit Break, guy uses an infinite money trick to buy a million Marbl3 items, then spams Earth Key and healing every other turn.
It's interesting from a route planning perspective but the execution is boring as fuck. The reality is that BoF is a very slow game and you are INTENDED to grind

I don't see what's the big deal with this game, I think weebs only like it because Kat and Nina look cute but they barely have any dialogue and only show up as tiny sprites in-game anyway. Just masturbate to Kat fanart on pixiv and call it a day.

No the execution takes a lot of precise inputs, muscle memory and applying all the prep and strategies you came up with. Just like any other speedrun. Except maybe less dexterity than say a Mega Man or action game style replay

Had the idea to play the bof series some time ago.
Got the first game and reached the part where you get that pure melee blacksmith guy. Had to put the game down because it was so boring and generic. Go to x to get y so you can go to z and get w.
Bof 2 was shit too.
I'm now playing bof 3 and it's FUN, especially the combat. The sprites are also very nice, although the music is rather boring.
