How many times should I complete PS3 before moving on to 4?

Zero

To get the timeloop ending

Don't bother, it's garbage and not even canon.

PLAY THE SEGA SYSTEM VERSION.

It become decent if you either play the compiliation version with the 4x movement speed option or simply emulate it with at least 400% speed.

4. Maintain a save just before a branch point to avoid rework.

wrong and wrong

PS3 is underrated. Spartan world map graphics aside, it's a fantastic story with amazing music

The story had one twist that was obvious from a mile away from the get-go, the graphics were lazy, and there were roughly two good tracks in the game. Difficulty is near zero, and the animation budget was leftover change from a phone booth.

I am emulating the Genesis version with a new translation that makes everythingore cohesive, I forgot there were other releases to choose from.

>>5657817
Unless I'm retarded, the emulator I'm using doesn't have a speed up option. Traversing this world map is a pain in the ass.

>>5658580
That's what I'm doing right now. I have a save in slot one that right before the final boss of the first generation. I just don't know if I want to go through this game again after I beat it. The music grew on me after a while, but it's still nowhere near as good as the FM synth of the first one or the cool music of the second one.

One time is more than enough, there's not a lot of unique content on the other routes.

If I were you, I would not. There'll be nothing much new on the other routes. Leave them for another playthrough sometimes in the far future.

Does it matter which route I take? I married the laian girl both times. Is any one route better than the others?

PS4 made it canon you dumb fuck. You explore the remains of one of the PS3 ships near Zio's fort.

>> No.5660058

Probably none. The developers came up with all sorts of great innovative ideas for PS3, but every single one of them ended up badly implemented. It's the worst game in the series and a pretty bad RPG in general.

Phantasy Star III is a game you play after you played all the other games and still need more Phantasy Star.

It isn't good. I actually just got sick of its shit at a certain point and started using a strategy guide. I didn't do that in any of the other titles. I'll never replay it, whereas I've played 2 and 4 a few times and will play them again.

All the cool features, such as multiple generations, dynamic battle music, and customized leveling are balanced out by terrible implementation.

Weren't those from the destruction of Palma?

He meant “ship like the one you are on in PS3”. They all were evacuees from Palma.
