Any love for off-brand clones?

General consensus or at least my personal opinion is that legitimate vintage ones that were actual chip-for-chip clones like Dendy are fascinating and I have a special love of keyboard famiclones. One SOCs appeared they're mainly worth discussing just for the case and controller design (I picked up Coleco and Intellivision Flashbacks when they hit $10 NIB) or as dirt cheap pcbs for projects (I picked up so many $1 Super Joys I actually stopped buying them before they dried up)

the Unitron Macintosh clone was actually kind of better than the original 512k
e.g.
>two floppy drives instead of one
>probably easier to replace components

Yes, they are just precious. Even the cheapest ones have a charm, I'm talking the even ones with the title screens removed from the games as if that makes it not piracy.

I love this particular clone, especially the variant with the Famicom slot on the top. However I'm not gonna pay a fortune for one of them, to be shipped all the way from Osh'Kosh B'Gosh.

Also, some pirated carts have some really WTF artwork. Pic definitely related.

Ya.
Not really a clone anymore, though.

Early 90s "Family Game" clones are the best. Virtually identic to original Famicom.

Why was it so many of these little handhelds couldn't put the on and off button on the same damn button?
