Dreamcast RPG "Evolution - The World of Sacred Device" was actually originally intended for the Sega Saturn and even appeared in Sega Saturn Magazine. The game appears to be similar to the final, mostly just rougher looking. Notably, the eyes of the main character, Mag Launcher, are more 'anime' than the final game, which the CGI cutscenes and some of Mag's concept art actually reflects.

The SNES was meant to get its own version of "Batman: Revenge of the Joker" a 16-bit remake of "Return of the Joker" that ended up only releasing on the Genesis. A prototype does exist though.

Speaking of, Sunsoft attempted to develop a Superman game for the NES, but apparently lost the rights. They briefly considered rebranding the game as "Sunman", but they ended up just cancelling it outright.
They would eventually go on to make a Superman game for the Genesis, and it seems that they carried over various ideas from this game.

After Diddy Kong Racing gets re-released on Switch and familiarizes the world with its characters again, canonical Conker (pic related) might be revived because Microsoft will make a desperate attempt at money again by commanding Rare to finally release this from their vaults.
