This was just posted today on Craigslist. He says he's selling a first-edition black-label copy of FF7 with some misprint on the back label that was later corrected. What's he talking about, /vr/? Is dis nigga fa ril?

I found a black label FF7 a long time ago at a pawn shop. Everything looked fine, except that the ESRB label said it had "Mature Sexual Themes" and "Realistic Violence".

I didn't buy it since it was missing the third disc, but it was interesting to note.

I'm always intrigued by ESRB mishaps.

It's referring to this. The misprint version typically isn't any more expensive than the regular.

That's the original printing before they made the ESRB ratings more descriptive

The misprint is the second printing.

>>563843
Yeah, I dunno what the hell happened there. It's the only game I've ever seen with such a narrow rating. Even the disc has the same looking T.

Same with the Silhouette Mirage disc

>> No.563963

Oh, right, I totally forgot the Silhouette Mirage disc had that. Weird that the case has the normal logo (And oddly enough the old pre-1999 white with black outlines letter). And the Lunar 2 demo that comes with Vanguard Bandits has the normal wide looking T, too.

I wonder if it was just a Working Designs goof.

It's a metaphor for the whole game.

In the US the profanity like "shit" and "piss" are edited out of later greatest hits copies.

Some early greatest hits versions still have them, but it's hit-and-miss as to which ones do.

For the US only the black label version is guaranteed to not have those words censored, so it does hold value because of it.

Wait, so there's a version of FF7 where every other word out of Barret and Cid isn't $@#%?
