I find both topics interesting. The sky color was highly variable due the the way the technology works.
The original name of the system may not have been rigidly set in stone, and they might not have considered that they might make more console systems in the future. Nowadays nobody likes referring to the old stuff as "the nintendo" or "the sega" like we used to.
