Inconvenient Castlevania redpills which /vr/ is reluctant to swallow:

>Castlevania 64 was not only superior but also more faithful to CV than SotN

Having an opinion about whether game is good, bad or better or worse than other of it's kind is all fine and dandy. The problem is when someone goes about sperging post after post about his own opinion being the only objective truth when other people have their own preferences which dictate how they'll recieve a certain game.

That being said, I have most fun doing a run of Castlevania 1 more than any other in the franchise.

I beat it and its bad design. You could do a mode with any bosses with platforms and they would as challenging and even more than Dracula. The boss is boring in itself. Peak Dracula is the remake Rondo on PSP or OoE on DS.

I disagree, it's clearly defined where you're going to get fucked if you misstep. It at least keeps you on your toes while original Rondo is just boring since it's a straight line and just wailing on him until he buys the farm.

Stages feel more boring than the original because there's way less level event. There's also less alternate path, mainly due to the cartridge capacity. No Maria path because there is no Maria. First stage look ugly too.
>it's clearly defined where you're going to get fucked if you misstep.
A room like this with 4 skelly thrower could as difficult as the fight in itself. That's why its bad design. The boss is just not good enough.
