What was the creative process behind this scene?

Someone on the staff must have thought they were so clever with the "all toasters toast toast" line, and no one had the heart to tell them that toasters toast bread, turning it into toast, which will just burn if you try toasting it again.

When does bread become toast though? Lightly toasted bread is still toast. So if you leave it in after lightly toasting it, it's technically toasting toast. So all toasters toast toast.

They needed a reason why the lights in that hotel were flickering. Overcharging the circuit with heating devices seems like an acceptable explanation. Why toasters though? Maybe the devs found the idea of a toaster room hilarious and just rolled with it.

Partly but also possibly as part of keeping in line with parental guidlines and avoid "replicable violence" aka avoiding cases of children copying what they see they choose toasters as a simple appliance that people don't have many of in the house and would take a lot of them to cause issues with a modern home AC circuit.

It's hilarious that the avocado toast generation doesn't know how to use a toaster. I assure you, you can indeed toast toast. Depending on the toaster setting you might even have to do it a few times to get toast as dark as you prefer.

They toast toast. And no, I don't mean they toast toasted bread. They toast bread that becomes toast. It's a toaster. So ultimately, the result, is that the toaster toasted toast. It produces toast. Toasters toast toast.

So when he says "All toasters toast toast" he means that toasters toast this shit.

The hot water is heated to maintain being hot. Toasting toast will eventually burn it. Keeping hot water hot won’t burn it.

In my family the distinction we had was that "toast bread" was simply thicker sliced regular bread used for cooking. It's an important distinction because "toasted bread" was not usually bread alone, you typically absorbed something into it, like eggs. So it made sense for it to be big, porous, and ideally left out for a night to become more firm to compensate. I have no clue if this is common anywhere, I've never heard anyone else call it this way.

>> No.5595990

Let’s put a pin in the toast/bread argument for a second. Let’s just pretend it makes sense... it’s still not funny. “All toasters toast toast” is not idiomatic, nor does it constitute anything resembling a pun.

Of course it does. You couldn't even find a pic that kind of backed up your retarded claim. That's white bread labled "Toast & Sandwich". So according to your zoomerlogic all toasters toast and sandwich. Literally retarded.

>>5595938
I like to cut my bread thick enough to hold an egg in a hole punched in the middle and pan fry that in butter. Toasting bread fresh out of the oven doesn't work well so I always let it sit overnight.

Yeah, different brands put different buzzwords on their packaging. It doesn't change the fact that people call it "toast". Keep in mind that Philips, the company responsible for this game, is based in Europe.
