Fuck, this is some shitposting.
But yeah, speaking of that, that was a hilarious mini-game. And it's based on phone lines when lonely men would call lines to talk with women in Japan.
In GGA, however, you have to talk about rather meta stuff, like a guy calling asking how to develop a game, then you have to advice him using different options.
In one of the options, you have to choose for which kind of company would be the best to work with, one of the options is Konami. If you tell the guy that, he'll get pissed and call you a shill (or something) and hang up.
I also remember there was comments about development hell.
Very memorable moment in the game.

if you mean the snes games only 3 and 4 require japanese knowledge, with 3 being more text-heavy than the others and 2 being the easiest to play.
btw If you wanna play the NES games they all have fan-translations.

you honestly dont even need to know japanese for 3 and 4. you can generally just feel around in the areas available until you figure out what to do. For the more stumping moments, there are guides too.

The soulless attempt at making Goemon more likeable to early 00s kids by completely removing the charm of Goemon's character and designs.
When the original Goemon Team made the last Goemon game, on DS, bringing back the classic Goemon, Shin sedai Goemon can be seen locked in jail, saying "it's not good to steal people's identities".
The games themselves aren't horrible, but also don't come close to the classic platformer Goemons anyway.

Playing through magical goemon on 64 and I'm just wandering around aimlessly after getting green girl. I'm not having that much fun outside of exploring towns, the text and cutscenes honestly. Should I keep playing? None of this has been more than just kinda fun. 3 levels of the 2D goemon made much more of an impact than all of this imo. I was looking for 3D soul and I found it but that's all I'm getting from this.

I didn't like it either. Great Adventure is a straightforward action game, you should like that.
Goemon is kinda like the kirby and wario series, some games are action-platformer, some games are puzzle oriented and there's a bit of a rupture among the fan community.

I think LotMN/GG1 is harder just for the annoying Ryo grinding that game has.
GGA also has moments of ryo grinding but it isn't as tedious as LotMN/GG1 (not to mention getting hit in GG1 punishes you harder there than in GGA).
