Classic

but I love any series really. Although X is pretty weak series as a whole since any game after 4 is shit, no matter what the X5 and X6 fanboys will say.
I'm huge fan of BN as well.

Special mention for Rockman Battle&Chase, rather underrated game. A shame the english version was so butchered, so I had to play in Jap while making my own translations based on the English version.

My favorite classic games are 6, 7 and 9. I'm still playing through 11 and figuring out how I feel about it.

In the X series I like X, X4 and X8 as risky ss that is to say

He does take double damage in 10. It may not seem like it because the enemy design would fuck you anyways but compare Megaman and Bass getting hit by a truck in Nitro Man's level to Protoman getting hit and watch his shades crunch under those wheels after 2-3 hits.

I actually really like X8. Some of the levels are gimmicky as hell, but overall it's a solid platfomer. Being able to play as the girls was a nice touch as well. That said, I'm also one of those oddballs who enjoyed X7.

I loved megaman 2 and 3 growing up. I think megaman 1's bomb man theme might be the single greatest piece of vgm i've ever heard.

All around I enjoyed the X series more as an adult as they can be more casually enjoyed with faster and more forgiving physics. I love megaman x2 and x3 more then x1 despite x1 having arguably the best stage design in terms of platforming and fair enemy placement. x3 is just fucking awesome though. the only thing i dont really like about x3 are the way the stages are constructed/the paths they want you to take filled with enemies in rather cumbersome routes/placement. the weapons in x3 besides tri thunder and the acid all have to be used very 'slowly' in a way and kinda pisses me off. the music in megaman series has whats always kept me coming back. it even lets me relatively enjoy x6.
