Not sure if this would belong to this board or not.
But what does /vr/ think of this?

I'm happy with how these have turned out. :)

Anyone want to see more?

This one I did by hand with a box cutter.
I did Kid Icarus with a Dremel. But had 2 issues.
1) First time using a dremel and did a really sloppy job.
2) Wife is asleep and didnt want to be rude.

I use DS cases. Just gotta snip a little bit of plastic out and they'll fit perfectly.

I cut out the cd retainer on the inside of the jewel case. Then the back inlay I printed double sided.

I also use 96lb card stock to print these out on.
Much better result then using regular old 20lb printer paper.

I dont like how the backside of the CD "book" slip is blank. But dont have the foggiest clue what to have printed on them.

But then where do your DS games go?!

... In the cases that they were bought in?

I thought about that. But it'd be a lot more dremel work. At least in my personal oppinon.

That and I dont have a bunch of those out of production DS game cases that have the GBA slot in them that I have seen people modify.

In Xbox cases.

Nintendo sells them for a dollar a piece on their website.

I came up with the idea do to this while replacing the jewel cases on all of my PS1 RPGs. (Literally just found out that all those RPG game cases are back portions of a regular Jewel Case)

I bought 2 10 packs of Jewel Cases and thought what the hell. Lets see where this goes.

I like the finished product. And I wont have GB/GBC/GBA games laying scattered in my entertainment center.

From what I could find out they only sell DS cases that only have the DS slot. Not the ones that had both the GBA slot and the DS slot.

But that was from a forum post. Could've been wrong. This is cheaper and more fun. :)

I remember one anon did a similar idea using cassette jewel cases. Looked pretty solid.

Wow... I'm jealous about that.
No pain in the ass modifications needed like mine.

Hmm.... I doubt I'll change though.

Thanks for sharing!

Do you have a template for that? Because I'd like to try that out.
