That graph is meaningless.

It's clearly a graph of how much certain numbers cost. OP is dumb, though, because of course 2022 would be more than twice as expensive as 2010, it's a much bigger number. Not sure why this is supposed to be shocking.

I can buy the whole video game market for $130? Sounds like a sweet deal.

it is though, just look at the prices of 2600 games and the declining value of NES games, there is a shelf life on the value of this stuff. Right now N64 and PS1 stuff is getting more expensive. And PS2 and Xbox and GameCube is starting to go up a little. It’s when the generation that grew up with the special generation of console finally reach a point where they have disposable income. Prices get hot for a bit, then eventually die down and become cheap again. Then the next generation console becomes then next hot thing.

They'll still never go back down to the prices they were 10 years ago.

They didn't make as many games back then and the industry is alot smaller. Now it's massive and nostalgia is the last good feeling left in the world

Not if I buy it for $131 a day later!

nah, now that we're nearing perfect 5th gen emulation you're going to see an entire market collapse like you did with baseball cards and comics. oh sure, the "value" is still there, but good luck finding any buyers.

It doesn't need to be meaningful, because as time goes on, prices approach infinity.
