Has anyone tried out the Retrobit Genesis/Saturn controllers yet? Was considering picking up one of the USB ones but not sure if the Saturn or Genesis version is better. From what I've read the general consensus is that the Genesis shoulder buttons feel better than the Saturn's. Any thoughts?

So authenticity wasn't a key goal I see.

For general emulation it seems like a reasonable concession. At least the original port version keeps the single Mode button

I've owned the Genesis controller for a few weeks now. The build quality is much better than their old unlicensed versions which was really surprising to me since Retro-Bit's stuff is usually dogshit. My only nitpicks with it is that the USB cable is a bit too long and the new shoulder buttons are a bit too sensitive in my opinion.

Wasn't the Mode button placed on the shoulder?

Only on the usb controllers, the 9 pins ones only have a mode button on one side.

I bought the 9 pin controllers for Genesis both the blue and black ones. They feel just like the originals. Better than my originals since due to their age and use the buttons were spongey and worn out. It’s nice to have clicky tactile feeling buttons again.

That sounds more promising than not. In your assessment how does it feel compared to a legit Genny pad?

What dou you mean? Like the DS3 that you can move the controller about to input stuff?
I don't think so.

Looks awesome. Will be my definitive controller. But I'm afraid it's lacking a better grip.

Also the analogics could be a little bit too close.

>> No.5499252

>>5498174
My only concerns is that the sticks are too close to the buttons and each other. If the controller could be just a tad wider (at the expense of no longer resembling an "accurate" Saturn controller", it would truly be the perfect controller.
