getting Ex Ranza as a kid would blow any giant robots liking teenager back then.
Im from europe so i got one of thise japan imports or just chinese bootlegs of japan game-i dont remember.
But i loved every single bit of it, from music to graphics and gameplay and levels.

Marvel Vs Capcom 2, wanted to like it because I loved all the other games but I hated the control scheme, hated having to grind to unlock characters and didn't really like the OST. I dunno maybe I'll give it another shot someday.

Oh yeah, same here. It was the Japanese version but on an European cart, and the boxart had all copyright info airbrushed out. I always knew the game as Ex Ranza until I looked up the English release once emulators were a thing.

I also never played the overseas version of Streets of Rage 3, only a bootleg copy of Bare Knuckle 3, and I never understood why people hated it so much. Then I played the English SOR3 and was in to a nasty surprise.

Remember that the mech is solar powered but the second level is underground. There are points there where you can break the ceiling to let light through and use that to recharge.

Lol. If you pay attention in that level but also in later ones, you recharge in sunlight. First level doesn't matter because you're outside the whole time, but in that level it becomes important. Careful with the worms too, take your time, as you've noticed they're nasty.
