so this thing got here WAY faster than i thought it would. only took about 4 days. anyway, i'm running the setup now, and it gives me a bunch of emulator options...

but which are the best emulators for this thing? just tell me every single on you use, people who use this tablet. thanks.

my lack of capitalization is not hurting the board in any way.

You wasted three posts to tell someone to capitalize? also bumping for general info on that device

i am googling while waiting for replies in this thread. i haven't really found anything useful yet. with the time it took you to type that, you could have either linked me something or typed it yourself.

What are you searching for? It's just an Android device. You don't need emulators for your specific device. Just search for "best android emulators" or some shit. I've heard that RetroArch is good.

>> No.549176

>>549168
what i'm looking for is people who actually own the same device as me to share their list of emulators. that's all this thread is for. i am curious to know what other people are using.

>> No.549203

S7300 owner here, these are the emulators i use, though they're just my personal taste and don't reflect if they're the best or not.

Tiger MAME
Snesoid
Gameboid
N64oid
MD.emu
FPSE
Dosbox Turbo

so are the oid's free to use then? i know you have to pay for n64oid. is there a free one?

>> No.549225

You can find a free download of N64oid pretty easy I'm sure, I've also heard Mupen64 is great and it is free.

ah. know of a good free psx emulator for this tablet then?

>> No.549709

Both ePSXe and FPSE cost like 4 bucks or something, I use FPSE myself, but you can find pirate versions of either emulator just fine. They won't be the latest versions though.

Nope, I like it, there are occasional crashes on some Front Mission 3 missions, but that doesn't happen in other games.

alright, cool. i'll get that one then.

oh, and how do you put your psx roms onto the device? i'm thinking i should download them on the computer and transfer them, but which file do i transfer from there? do i just move the whole folder with the game in it onto the tablet?

I'll be in China for a while and thought about picking one of these up while I'm there, except I don't know who to buy it from there.

Transfer the CD image, whatever it is. ISO, BIN, anything like that will work.

>> No.549815

and just stick that right in the roms folder?

Pretty much, you just navigate to them in FPSE and they should run fine. Remember to get PSX bios.

anyone here get good results with n64 emulation? i just tried running kirby and the ground is hard to see, the stuff that should be displayed under everything else (copy ability and such) isn't visable, and kirby's face is missing as well...

N64 worked fine for me, but I only tried a few games on N64oid.

>> No.549979

yeah, i was afraid of that. guess i'll have to bite the bullet and actually buy these emulators for psx and n64.

What's the general verdict on these /vr? I've seen an Archos game tablet recently, but it seems to be getting poor reviews, is this a lot better?

I enjoy mine which I've had for a month, I've never tried the Archos but a 1 hour battery life is more than enough to keep me far away from it.

What's battery life like? These are going for about £20 less than the archos anyway, but it would be nice if they had a longer gaming time too...

>> No.550721

>>550513

It runs the emulators al right, plus the D-pad and buttons are pretty good unlike the archos sore-thumbing PSP rip off.

These things have Trigger buttons? Last time I was going to buy one I remember seeing they didn't and felt disappointed

>> No.550760

they have L1, L2, R1, and R2 trigger buttons.

Retroarch with the proper setup is all I use on mine, except epsxe for compatibility and Mupen64 plus AE for better visuals over N64oid (though you need a fullscreen app for mupen)

If Retroarch isn't your cup of tea you could use Super gnes and the .emu emulators like gba.emu etc.
Also crt mask x2 over scanlines looks best on the s7300, although Retroarch has proper shaders.

I'm currently running:
-Default NES, Genesis, and GBA emulators (assuming they're yongzh's)
-SNES9X EX 1.4.29
-N64oid
-ePSXe

There are also a few Android games that work really well on it, pic related

DS emulators for Android exist, but not sure if you would call them decent. PSP on the other hand is supposedly pretty good, though.

nds4droid is probably the best one, but right now it's still too slow to be playable. Get around 15-20 FPS no matter the game I play. But it has all the functions in it, like touch screen support and even mic support. They keep updating and increasing performance, I'm guessing it'll be quite playable in a few months.
