This is of course the greatest Zelda on handheld devices.
>Plot/or Story trippier than Majora's Mask
>Protagonist is inside dream of a flying whale/like god
>Protagonist awakens after awakening fish god in dreamworld
>godfish flies over
>don't crash your boat

remake looks cool.. //not retro

>> No.5470247

wow cool so when do we get to the part where you tell me why the game is good

It's really Fun™, you can use your Jesus Disciple power to blow away the competition.
>Eight Dungeons that are moderately difficult to find and complete, containing many secrets
>A robust and well rounded cast of items that the overworld caters greatly to
>Amounted to what was basicly the sequel to the link to the past -on handheld for awhile
>Lttp is well renown and heralded as the best 2d zelda/on console

>Interesting locales
>Involved trading sidequest
>not feature-bug: the original allowed you to teleport and I abused it to beat the game
>Final boss has several forms that mimic past enemies included Ganon who isn't physically present

>> No.5470286

It's the best zelda

>thing every zelda has, and something lttp had more of
>thing every 2d zelda has. and is something link'a awakening abuses to a fault anyway. having to constantly switch through my inventory to lift the one rock or charge through the one crystal in my way wasn't fun
>meaningless. and la doesn't really evolve what it takes from lttp. it usually just outrights copies stuff from it and more often than not in ways that just make the game worse. let me remind you of the tedious pegasus boots crystals again
>meaningless

>what interesting locales?
>trading sidequest feels the same as any other trading sidequest in a zelda game. i assume by "involved" you mean the game forces you to do it to pad the game
>using a bug to skip through the game is a sign that it's probably not very fun to play normally lol
>cool. more stuff sloppily pasted in from other zeldas. i'm not sure why an original final boss wouldn't have been better, like the other handheld zelda games

It started equipment combinations that modified items and extended features and capabilities to one another.

Koholint Island:

Color Dungeon(Link's Awakening DX), Animal Village, Camera Shop, Crazy Tracy's Health Spa, Cemetery, Dream Shrine, East of the Bay, Tail Cave, Fishing Pond, Goponga Swamp, Bottle Grotto, House by the Bay, Kanalet Castle, Koholint Prairie, Mabe Village, Manbo's Pond, Martha's Bay, Moblin Cave, Mount Tamaranch, Mysterious Woods, Key Cavern, Pothole Field, Raft Shop, Rapids Ride, Richard's Villa, Sale's House O' Bananas, Seashell Mansion, Signpost Maze, South of the Village, Southern Face Shrine, Catfish's Maw, Spectacle Rock, Tabahl Wasteland, Tal Tal Heights, Tal Tal Mountain Range, Turtle Rock, Eagle's Tower, Town Tool Shop, Angler's Tunnel, Toronbo Shores, Ukuku Prairie, Witch's Hut, Yarna Desert, and Wind Fish's Egg.

Mysterious Woods throws the prospect of the environment being tied to a character at the player.
>using a bug to skip through the game is a sign that it's probably not very fun to play normally lol
It was just difficult and that fruit was dangling there..
>i'm not sure why an original final boss wouldn't have been better, like the other handheld zelda games
It's original....

you mean the bomb arrows and that's literally it

i can just randomly name locations from zelda games too. this isn't exclusive to link's awakening

you mean that senseless puzzle with the raccoon? not sure what edge that specific thing gives la over other zeldas

my point is that if this game is so good, you wouldn't want to skip it.

no. it's not. you literally just explained why it isn't original. it's just a bunch of boss fights from previous zeldas all in one

>> No.5470379

>people saying to skip LA
I've never said this before, but can you fucking zoomers just go back to /v/ or something Jesus fucking Christ

Im pretty sure links awakening dx on the GBC was the greatest handheld zelda.

>pressing B no longer skips dialogue
>game-breaking Color Dungeon tunics
>weird color choices like turning the roller miniboss pink
>limited palettes of the GBC generally just look weird and gross anyway most of the time
>photographer is dumb

Yeah, no, the original is far better.

>it's just a bunch of boss fights from previous zeldas all in one
Which is original..
>my point is that if this game is so good, you wouldn't want to skip it.
Unless it's too difficult and you're trying to get to the end of a good game...
>you mean that senseless puzzle with the raccoon? not sure what edge that specific thing gives la over other zeldas
If you're fascinated by the Zelda and its execution then toying with the idea of the environment and characters being linked is intriguing.
>i can just randomly name locations from zelda games too. this isn't exclusive to link's awakening
But you really can't, I mean you can go ahead and chart them, but behind those words are feelings and experiences that aren't easily conveyed, sorry.
>you mean the bomb arrows and that's literally it
There's also a long jump, and then there's several neat things if they don't create a brand new function but are just good combos.

>>5471520
No really, it lures you in under the pretext that you shipwrecked on an island. Then it slowly allows for you to put everything together. Then there's the whole is Link really unconscious? Where is the island after the game ends? Is that a metaphor for it being a game in the first place?

>>5471535
Minish Cap isn't retro
