I played a bit, but I dropped it after a few hours. Should I pick it up again?

>> No.5468078

Probably not. It’s an ok game but nothing spectacular, and of what you already experienced wasn’t fun enough to hold your interest you’re probably not going to like the rest of the game. Overall, no

Maybe.

He's a faggot for not continuing to play a game he didn't enjoy? Or he's a faggot for not liking the same game you did?

He's just an all-round, well balanced faggot. But he's particularly at fault here for asking for reasons to keep going without volunteering the reasons he dropped the game in the first place.

Is asking about individual game progressing on /vr/ the newest meme?

That's a good point, but personally I wouldn't recommend Alundra having not dropped it when I played it.

one of the most depressing games I've ever played. thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay and difficulty, but I'm never replaying this shit.

I always bagged it with stuff like Grave of the Fireflies. Great stuff and all but holy shit fuck going through all that a second time

>> No.5469043

The game has puzzles that require thought. Probably should stay far away from it, OP

I remember one of the ice column ones being tricky but nothing particularly ptsd-inducing or anything

I had the same problem as you. It just... didn't click. I say move on. Plenty of other games.

The rpg part is totally meaningless at this point. Just call them top down action games

>> No.5469127

>>5469064
They were always known as action RPGs, we're not going to change the way we've always labeled these games to pander to a few people's extreme autism over the most perfect definition of the term RPG.

I did exacly the same. Then I tried Alundra 2 and was even worse.

Zelda was never an RPG.

if you dropped it out of frustration, then don't bother because it only gets 100x worse as you go on. easily the hardest game i've ever beaten, took me 60 hours without a guide. extremely rewarding and can be a blast at times, but the problem is that the challenge comes from poor design rather than clever puzzles and combined with the fact that the game is already about 20 hours too long, you will find this to be an exhausting experience. try it again though, it's a good game.

Patch there reverts the stats to the JP version.

I enjoyed looking through that list but I was severely annoyed by my 2 points above.
