It had that Dragon quest 1 charm where there's places on the map that don't seem reachable, but then you find an interesting way to get to them. The music is always relaxing as fuck too.

Dragoon hasn't aged well, but they fucking Nailed it when it came to the town exploration.

Modoc has always been my favourite place in Fallout 2. Such a peaceful, laid-back and welcoming place especially compared to the towns you visit before it, Klamath and the Den, where everyone either tried to kill you or fuck you over.
