You seldom (read never) have to build XBOX HUEG coasters during scenario play, keep them economical. Start scenarios small, build a couple of flatrides and a smaller coaster like a shuttle loop or a kiddie coaster. Also, it's easier to help if you post images of your parks.

You have removed access to the walkways which is good, leaving them is the most common noob mistake. Your problem is the lack of rides which I assume stem from a lack of money. Start out compact (block of parts of the park without rides), build 4-5 flat rides (I'd probably pick Merry-Go-Round, Twister, Observation Tower, Pirate Ship and Magic Carpet) and a small coaster (for Crazy Castle anything researched except the Woodie). Don't be afraid to increase the prize, for coasters you can charge at least equal to excitement rating. Don't forget to build some stalls (info, drink, food and toilet) and hire staff. Assign patrol areas to staff, a mechanic can handle around 4-5 rides, more if they're close to each other.

Where are the rides? I assume you're charging too little for rides and aren't using cash machines that the place probably has. I recommend going into the Coaster Designer, building a nice small compact coaster, and placing it down when you start a scenario.
The one in my pic, i charge $6 a ride for, and it makes its money back very quickly and gives my parks an instant draw for guests.

Charge according to excitement, though rides like the Launched Freefall can go as high as $9 for a 11 second ride and seem based off intensity. Don't think "What would be a good value" think "How can i squeeze more money out of these plebs?"

>> No.5467156

>>5466859
Also while the "open" boat layouts might be cheaper, the amount of guests per hour it'll take in is lower because they're stupid and like to bundle together and never come into the station.

Making efficient city blocks is fairly easy. The challenge is properly supplying them. Each level of the campaign has maps where you have to mix things up, due to building space, resources, trade, available buildings, environment, and invaders. One of the few city builders where I had to stop and have a think about how to unfuck my shit. Weirdly enough, the lack of QoL improvements later games in the series have actually make the game more interesting. Not being able to control how much space a warehouse assigns to a particular item can be an interesting problem and the lack of road blocks gives you a reason to get clever with design. After playing it I suddenly got a lot better at Pharoah and Zeus.

I really like it a lot.

>play through first couple of missions, everything running smoothly
>suddenly game smacks you with a map that has double the previous population req, a previously unseen hazardous biome, enemies that constantly attack you (on a 'peaceful' map), a totally new food resource, weirdly shaped terrain so you have to space everything out creating big logistical problems, and the most basic resources needed to upgrade houses can only be acquired through trade

That was a tricky one. Somehow managed to hit the population req with only 1/3 of the required culture and ended up having to spam cultural shit on every available inch of the map.
