It's finally Friday boys. What games are you playing to kick off your weekend?

Last week I beat Ninja Gaiden 2 and I managed to find a copy of the third one.

3 doesn't have the difficulty spike of the last stage that NG1 has but it spreads the difficulty more evenly throughout so it's overall a bit more challenging imo. But it also removes the annoyances like respawning enemies so it doesn't feel that way

I started playing Zelda II again, i forgot how much i love that game, i think it's my favorite old school zelda, even more than OoT or OG Zelda.

Also recently picked up Darkwing Duck, Abadox and Metroid.

Playing Metroid seriously for the first time this weekend. I've pissed around on it for 5 minutes here and there on emulators and such, but never serious on real hardware. (I am using a flash cart because I can't be arsed to write down passwords). Mapping it out on notebook paper, this helps immensely, and I'm getting ready to read the instruction manual too.

Had a hell of a time figuring out how to open red doors. I'm 38 and have somehow managed to never read much about metroid secrets, so it's been really fun going in blind. That title screen music sounds pretty damn nice on large speakers too.
