Despite being known as the Fedora game, God does actually exist in the Xeno universe, it's known as wave existence or whatever.

He's right though. Man is a spiritual animal which typically must believe in something greater than himself, and if that greater power isn't a religion, than it will almost certainly be either government or a cause such as environmentalism.

Environmentalism and religion should go hand in hand. Most people these days, even the religious conceive of God as a big dude in the sky watching and judging everything which is easy to see why they confuse it with government.

If environmentalists wanted to save the environment they would be against government spending. Instead all environmental problems can be solved by people buying more things, making government bigger more expensive and oppressive.

Consider money. It is a measure of capital costs and profits.

What's more environmental, driving a shitbox geo metro around that gets 50 mpg, and was built 20 years ago and is still going strong? Or is it better to get $20k in government subsidies to buy a $60k tesla? That still is getting its juice from fossil fuels anyway because solar and wind are 0 or negative ROI. Your house's solar panels are only positive ROI because of another massive government subsidy.

All that money is spending here and now-which creates an artificial demand for resources and energy here and now that other wise would have been spread out over 30 years. 30 years technology would have been improving constantly through.

If the government never spend a gazillion dollars on the national freeway project, we wouldn't have such a car culture either. We would have walkable cities and towns still.

--
More stupid environmental feel good religion: plastic drinking straws and free grocery bags are illegal. Plastic straws have been replaced with much more expensive paper straws. They require a lot of resources to reprocess bleach and sanitize paper. They are like 20x more expensive than plastic straws. It wasn't even California straws ending up in the ocean. This is having 0 effect on the cause the environmentalists wanted because all the fucking plastic rafts in the ocean come from China and Indonesia.

Plastic grocery bags are the same shit, cheap good product replaced with more expensive inferior product. except now I have nowhere to recycle thin plastic bags, including shipping materials, packaging and bags from non grocery retailers.

But they feel righteous because they did something short sighted and I'll conceived to fix the problems.

So what's your solution to solving how much humans are decimating the natural world causing a mass extinction that rivals the the worst we know of in history? Because most individuals don't seem to give much of a fuck either claiming there is no problem or it's not their problem. Saying government regulation hasn't always mafe good choices is fair, but there has to be some kind of real regulation because things sure aren't getting better on their own.

Fair tariffs. Eg China should be charged for not protecting its environment. Since the 80s the us has crippled its economy and done its best to export all of its jobs and pollution to China, where they handle it worse than anything we would have done here.

Also
>mass extinction
Consider that matter is not created or destroyed in significant amounts. There is not more carbon on the planet now than during the carboniferous period. If some of that carbon is turned into co2, then conditions on the planet might be like it was then... which was not a venusian death trap. It was the most bio diverse and lush the planet has ever been.

Again idiotic religion: the only solution is to stop burning all fossil fuels, oh and nuclear isnt allowed either. Only wind and solar, which literally do not make any energy for 20 years they cost so damn much to produce. Also no one makes solar panels except China because its toxic semi conductor manufacturing. In China they just dump all the toxic shit into the yangtze river. (Pictured) But that's okay because it's not here.

What's A better solution? Nuclear. Manufacturing in 1st world countries.

Modifying the albedo of the earth with ocean based platforms that spray water into the air. This could be accomplished for millions of dollars within a few years. This is not the solution offered. No one talks about this perfectly obvious, easy to implement solution to increased solar atmospheric heating. Got a problem? Reflect it duh. The solution is to tax you heavily and exempt the worst offenders--make up a carbon based tax, wherein China and other countries have an infinite amount of money and if you do any manufacturing in your country, you need to pay China to absolve you of the sin of co2 production.

I agree with that, but how do you plan to impose sanctions on Chinese corporations without government influence? The problems we're seeing are already caused by corporations both eastern and western controlling what rules the government does implement so they can maximize their profits at the expense of everyone else.

Correct. The same as Dreamcast, PS1 or even Genesis and SNES games, computer games as well follow the rules which have nothing to do with when the game was made or released, just what platform they run on. If it runs in Windows 9X, it's a "retro game" and up for discussion on this board.

Yes, ghosts, demons, gods, and shit, especially if the story revolves them instead of those elements being incidental to the plot. Many RPGs in general have supernatural elements, but usually they are only minor elements, not the crux of the plot. Squaresfoft make gods (or high-ranking supernatural beings) important aspects in all of their games. Tactics came close to being a non-supernatural game but completely dropped the ball in the end.
