What are the best PS1 FPS games?

Medal of Honor Underground is a masterpiece.

This, even though it's objectively inferior port of the Saturn game.

My problem with going back and playing PS1 FPS games is that I just can't get used to the clunky old control schemes again after years of playing modern FPS games with the now standardised controls.

That's part of why this is a good one, you can change the controls to use the analog sticks in a modern fashion: >>5435336

Anyone have any suggestions for other PS1 FPS (or even TPS) games with control options like this? I already know about Alien Ressurection, but I couldn't really get into that one.

Quake II on the pS1 is really impressive

Exhumed/Powerslave

inb4 blurry mess low fps Saturn version apologists claim the PS1 version is inferior

>>5436246
It is. PS1 version is off.

>> No.5436281

>>5436261
I played both. The Saturn version is a mess of pixels, controls worse (less nuance in walking/running), has worse autoaim (especially with machinegun) and runs much slower (and not only because of level design, even in corridors you can see this)
The PS1 version may have more variable framerate, but it's higher and it's much cleaner and pleasing to look at.

>> No.5436301

>>5436281
I also played both. Shooting, moving and hit detection feels off in the PS1 version. A lot of other people share that impression.

Also the modified maps suck ass

Delta Force on the PS1 isn't bad. I use to enjoy this one back in the day. It has dual analogue controls, though the framerate can be pretty garbage at times.

It's alright, and plays like a Doom clone. The bosses are a bit disappointing, though.

>> No.5436663

Dark Forces isn't bad either.

>> No.5437082

>>5436545
It's a good Doom clone. Less enemy variety but cool scenery from the films. It's not too hard either.

Disruptor - its no exhumed/powerslave but it's fast

Solid doom clone, doom-style FPS work much better on ps1 due to the control scheme. Medal of Honor felt weird even at release after playing stuff like quake, very stiff and clumsy. Alien trilogy feels pretty smooth.
