What even is this game anyway? It feels very much like a poor man's reimagining of the arcade game even sharing similar moves and animations but it came out before the arcade version. Was the arcade version actually inspired by this piece of shit, or was it some quick cash grab based on in-development info for AvP arcade or something?

Capcom had the arcade license for the franchise, while Activision had the console license for it. Same thing happened with The Simpsons and X-Men, where Konami had the rights to make the arcade games and other companies had exclusive rights for the console games.
