Not strictly a console, but definitely /vr/ - I loved my Barcode Battler. Still have it with box, books, and all cards.

Pic related, but not my unit

Bandai Playdia, bought it in Hong Kong for exactly 5HKD. It has shitty IR controller and most games are FMV or porn but it has surprisingly cool Ultraman beat 'em up game. Still have it for that one game alone.
Another I got in that shop was Casio Loopy (that was 15HKD) with integrated printer for printing stickers. It had some typical girl games like draw your own princess and make your own sticker so I ended giving it to my niece. She chewed through the whole 100 stickers that came with it in two days and plastered them all over the house.

The Capcom CPS Changer. Basically Capcom's answer to the Neo Geo AES. This hulking expensive thing played arcade perfect ports of CPS 2 games. As a parting gift to fans that plunked down the thousands of yen on this when Capcom phased into CPS 3, they produced a special watered-down version of Street Fighter Alpha for it. Incredibly rare and worth thousands, needless to say.

(one more before I go to bed) The Amiga CD32. Developed by Amiga to compete in the home console market in 1993, sold 100K units in Europe, and promptly canned a matter of months later due to a lawsuit by one of the chip providers, I believe?
Fun fact: this was set to be released in the US, but was canned before it could. Just a couple of years ago, a clutch of NTSC versions were found in a Filipino factory, and they have become more available. I REALLY want one.

GX4000 was actually a console version of the AmstradPLUS, which was a slightly upgraded AmstradCPC.

it was a Z80 based system with very few console thing... used RAM like a computer (64K, no proper VRAM so the Video had to put the CPU on wait state when reading the graphics to display scanlines...).
Cartridges produced had too small ROM (128K only) and the Hardsprites were badly designed and insufficient so it relied on soft sprites.
As a result, developers couldn't do great stuff. Also many games were actually amstrad CPC games slightly modified...

Amstrad community is still active, as it was mostly an 8bit computer to begin with.

The few good games on the system :
Pang, Burnin'rubber, Switchblade, PanzaKickBorxing, Magic Pinball, Navy Seal, Robocop2, TennisCup2, ProTennisTour.

I got this for $1 USD at a flea market yesterday morning. I recalled seeing pics of these online, but wasn't entirely sure what it was. Judging by the famicom cart slot underneath I assumed it was another Fami-clone. Also didn't know if it worked, but for a buck, why not.

"Super Joy III"

The console itself looks like a N64 controller. The analog stick doesn't move, it's just for display. C buttons are now two sets of B and A, while A/B is now Select/Start. Start button resets the console. There's a power switch and a DC cable in where the R button should be, and AV cord in where the L button should be.

Also came with a 6 buttom genesis/megadrive controller with a little stick that screws into the center of the d-pad. Works surprisingly well actually. Light gun also works perfectly, better than my nintendo zapper (weird.)

Both controllers use the standard genesis/atari/etc plugs. The console itself has a removeable battery pack where the rumble packs etc should go. Takes 4 AA batteries, and does actually work; meaning this is/was good for car trips if you car had a tv back in the day.

More pics coming.

Overall, not a bad system. The build quality is what you'd expect out of a knock off, but it's still not falling apart. It's sturdy enough to last the previous owner more than a few years, and hopefully mine as well.

It's a NES pretty much. There's a lot of really good NES games on here, in english for the most part, and some others I've never heard of. I don't have any famicom carts, so I can't test out if it works or not. In all, I'd say it was worth my $1. I'd pay $10 for one of these in a heartbeat. But more than that is pushing it. Pretty neato.

Here's a shot of the Super Mario Bros game screen from the console.
