Breath of the wild is a decent game but not a fun zelda game by any means.

Super metroid is a masterpiece but/and should be remade.

The link's awakening remake looks awesome but should've been reimagined as a three dimensional over the shoulder/ocarina of time like experience instead in all honesty.

Wind waker should've gotten a direct sequel on consoles instead of breath of the wild && skyward sword should have been ported to switch instead of breath of the wild.

Super mario odysee is decent but very time waster and offtly boring for a mario game && might as well have just made super mario 3d world 2 instead.

Popular video games/timeless classics might as well be remade every few years && the industry might as well focus on gameplay again/graphics are a dead end if you're questing for interactive experiences -hyper real graphics and glorified cutscenes with bits of gameplay attached might as well just be feature length movies instead of video games.

Consoles that have you install games should die in a ditch -bring broadband to the masses first zomg

The disc launcher in 2 was always wrong to me and I never bothered to learn exactly how/why.

I really wanted a lot of the other gameplay in 1, the inventory stations, the spike/clamp turret dichotomy, swapping the barrels in your base turrets, the bomber and tank all seemed great.

PC retail is basically the N64 game with better graphics and controls (I think anyway) and has voice acting. The beta version (released as “Special Edition”) is basically an almost entirely different game. Levels have very few similarities between it and the final build. Camera and controls are very different. The camera is behind Ed at pretty much all times and he has tank controls. But it works because the camera is static for the most part. The graphics look better than the retail release and it has a much creepier vibe to it overall. It’s less bright and colorful than the retail version. It’s more of a game where you want to explore the levels as opposed to just running through them. For instance, the ski slope level in the beta version doesn’t end when you cross the finish line. You fly off into a pool of water and you can explore a giant doorway, a slope on the side, and even underwater once you get the items that allow you to do so. I could go on but the beta version is really a gem in its own right. It just doesn’t have a lot of polish and feels clunky in places (also no Suzie character and the voice acting differs from the retail version). It’s also a nightmare to get running and sometimes makes my PC act weird. But I’d check out some videos for sure.

Opposing Force as a concept is great. But it tries to do too much and it feels bloated and unpolished. New weapons are neat but the black ops/new aliens stuff just feels tacked on and not consistent with HL1. The rope climbing and some of the squad stuff can be glitchy as hell too. Blue Shift is comfy as fuck though. The weapons aren’t bloated, the story is consistent with the original, no new weird mechanics, and it makes the scientists feel more like real people. You’re not heralded as this savior because you have a suit or are a solider. It’s just a dude trying to leave work after a bad day. It’s short but that’s part of its charm. It’s a chill Sunday afternoon kind of game.
