Am I the only one who thinks the cutoff date for this board should be bumped up to 2003-5? I just don't games from way back then can still be considered "modern". Think about it; a kid who was a toddler in 2002 is now old enough to vote and go to college. That should tell you how old these games are now.

I consider gaming in the mid 2000s more akin to current gaming than to what came before. There's always the gray area of GBA being basically a portable SNES that would make it fit here but eh

GBA originals don't feel retro at all, they're always filled with game interrupting cutscenes and unnecesary storytelling or trying to simulate 3D gameplay.

I like them too but they're their own thing, like 2D Java games and modern indies.

DS came out during that time. Its last game was released in 2015 (just under 4 years ago).
PSP came out during that time. Its last game was released in 2016 (just under 3 years ago).
