When I first bought Everquest in 99, I felt sometimes like I was a submarine from how big the UI was. It was like driving an expensive car through one of those sunset viewers. In order to to regen mana, you had to pull up your spell book which occupied 100% of the remaining viewing and they made all these spells that tell you the proximity of danger to you that are totally unnecessary once they opened up the UI.
