It's 1989 and you're at Capcom designing SF2. There's a memory limitation so some characters will not make it pass the drawing table. There will only be 6 selectable characters and 2 bosses. Who will you cut or demote?

Speaking in terms of impact and importance I would say E. Honda and Blanka would be the best choices if I had to remove any of tbe original eight. Obviously Ken is the ideal character to remove, in World Warriors he is literally just a Ryu clone, but I can't imagine removing him would be enough. As for the boss characters Sagat and M.Bison definitely would be the ones to stay.

Are you 13, retarded, or both? Not only can you not name the characters but you throw out two of the most iconic characters in the game. Zangief is the staple grappler and Guile is the staple charge character as well as the character designed to appeal to Americans.

Ken, Ryu, Sagat, and Bison have stories that intertwine so they stay. You need atleast one chick so add Chunli. Guile to please the Americans and Honda to appease the Japanese. And to add a little difference from the standard human look add Blanka.

Ryu too much like chad Ken. P Honda is pretty much mix of Chun Li and Zangief. Nog and Sagat mean nothing to me. Vega and M. Bison for the bosses.

P. Honda was the hardest one to eliminate as he is fun and somewhat different style.

My wife says she would go with this line up but get rid of guile for ken as she doesn't like guile since he acts too cocky.

the playable characters are just Ryu and five different versions of Ken, and the bosses are Sagat and M Bison. Also Akuma is on the box art but he only appears in a cutscene and isn't playable or fightable. $70 retail.
