If you ask me, there will never be a genre as perfect as the 2D action platformer. While arcade games before Super Mario were amazing in their own right, everything changed when the platformer became mainstream. 2D action platformers are the perfect combination of adventure, story and gameplay.

For you maybe. I get bored with games that are easy to memorize. Give me something with a deep learning curve and lots of room for strategy and action mixed together.

It's kinda unfair to compare multiplayer games to single. My SNES experience was basically social, meaning, run n guns, beat em ups, bomberman and fighting games were always on the menu. While stuff like metroid or zelda were consolation prizes for those who had no friends.

-Watching cartoons
-Hide and seek
-Bicycle
-Roller blades
-Tag
-Yo-yo
Videogames were just another activity but I like action 2d action platformers. Ninja gaiden is great, so is castlevania and megaman. When I had nothing else to do those were my weapons of choice.
