Duke Nukem 3D/Forever

Other than that, pretty much every LucasArts adventure game from Monkey 1 to The Dig, especially the very last one. Those games were infamous for design/asset cuts and developer injokes. An MGS1 beta wouldn't also hurt. Oh, and Sonic 1/3 and CD so we actually know how R2 was supposed to look.

12 Tales Conker 64 looks like it may have been a good little 3D platformer but I feel like I wouldn't trade the Conker we have for it.

Also would love to see beta Ocarina of Time. The one that looked like a 3D remake of Zelda 1 and had a jump button. Ocarina of Time is cool but my favorite is still the original and I'd have loved to see it reimagined in 3D.

I wanna play the Gameboy remakes of Zelda 1 and A Link to the Past that they originally planned. You can see many signs of the Zelda 1 remake in the Oracles games and it makes me sad for what could have been. Especially since the Oracle games suck shit. LA is alright though. Supposedly they actually started the Jojo game just as a side project for fun before they ever officially got the license (same thing for Gundam VS.) That is an interesting prototype. In particular the Inside the Lamp level isn't just an unfinished stage there, it is actually almost entirely different from the final game's version of the level.

On some Sega forum, people did a bit of research and found that this version of the game closely aligns with some early screenshots published in magazines at the time (likely provided to them by Sega). Somewhat unsurprisingly, Clint Dyer, a Sega employee at the time who apparently had a history of selling prototypes and the like such as the Sonic Crackers prototype, is credited as doing screenshots for Aladdin. So there's a good chance that this was a version he used to produce early promotional screenshots of the game before taking it home and later selling it off to a collector.

I'd like to play the Saturn version of Fighting Force, which was completely finished but never released for some unknown reason. It was the lead development platform, which you can clearly tell because all the characters are made from quads. And yes I know the Alpha was leaked, but that's just the Alpha.

I just know someone has this lying dormant on a hard drive somewhere in the world, since as I said, it was finished and about to be pressed for release.

Game was supposed to be several chapters longer, contain a lot more atypical design elements (since they ran out of time for development) like a full chapter styled like a visual novel, or told with pictures. I believe they planned to have 2~ chapters for Kumatora, who basically got no development in the final version.
It was original supposed to be far darker, with Itoi stating that the version of the island was so horrible he didn't want to review his script, and intended the players to scream and cry by the finale. You can see some of this in the dummied out stuff for the GBA, the entire final battle intended to have no dialogue and only convey raw psychological trauma.

A shame that he softened up, became a father, and killed scenario for the Evangelion of vidya games.
