The normal game does not feature the ~4 seconds where she floats into the air, gently wafts toward the enemy, finishes her animation and then drifts on back.
Instead, they just completed their (beautiful) animations on-the-spot since we were still crossing the whole 'dudes should physically move up to the guys they're fighting' bridge-- we didn't really get there for a while either, especially not on the SNES.

As a contrast, while it's probably intended to 'enhance the effect' and 'make it more immersive,' what it really looks like is someone MS painted my gal over to that there enemy so we didn't have to use our majinashurn.

This. I always say this whenever arguments about OoT start but i get shat on anyway. I respect it for being the first to do what it did on such a large scale, but since then it's formula has been expanded on so much. I'm not going to refer to something as 'the best ever' if it's no longer the best at what it does/did.

It's not like say... Super Metroid, where the formula has been used again, but still has yet to be outdone. (At least in my opinion.)

It's pretty standard for older FPS. But I know in Duke Nukem 3d you could change the how weapon overlay looked to a few modes, one where it was minimalist. Only reason I would want to play it is because it's easier to setup with modern hardware.

BloodEX will never do this or get anywhere near it. Kaiser even admitted behaviours will be empirically estimated. If you wanna larp about "accuracy" while defending BloodEX of all things that just makes you look extra stupid. Your best bet for the pseudo-elitist e-cred would be to constantly announce that you're sticking with the dos version.

He said it doesn't have voxels, it does. In fact it even has support for custom voxels if you want more in-game 2D stuff to become voxelised (like the ending level switch or cylinders containing heads for example).

Anyway you're that retarded voxel fetishist, looking at that them from further away they hardly look different. I really couldn't give a fuck less and only a 4chan autist could nitpick about something so trivial. That other retard doesn't even know what he's talking about and I doubt BloodEX's voxels will be any different. This is again a consequence of the 3D polymost renderer (same shit in Shadow Warrior Redux). Once you get the software one you can continue masturbating to them at much higher res and framerate so have fun.
