Post your favorite retro game. Have people recommend you similar games or games you might enjoy based on your tastes. Keep it retro.

My favorite game: Super Metroid.

Isn't that a little pointless, op. I mean, there's a 95% chance you've played the obvious recommendation, Symphony of the Night.

It was just an example to get the ball rolling. Not so much for myself as it is for other eventual people in the thread who are open to try new games similar to their favorites.

Try the Metroid series, OP.

Well that's a choice made wisely so far.
I just worry a bit 'cause I watched the pre-alpha trailer and it felt like the movements of the characters were WAY too smooth. I kind of had a rhythm down in the first two games with the steps Abe and whoever you possessed took.

Great taste. I remember as a kid getting a TG16 bundled with Bonk's Adventure and Keith Courage in Alpha Zones and just loving it. When they announced Bonk's Revenge, I was super excited and it ended up being an amazing game.

I feel like so many people are overlooking the PC Engine/TG16 when it comes to retro. Soooo many good games.

This game is cute as hell but DAMN do I suck at it. I do love these types of games though... Like Touhou and Raiden and Space Megaforce.
But P&R have a nice change of not going in one straight line the entire time, which is nice.

But it's still fucking hard for me to beat hah.

It should do.
I like arcadey games where you shoot stuff and dodge the things. More of that please.

Also, have you ever played Silent Bomber?
I'd highly recommend it.
