most underrated n64 game?

Robotron 64.

THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER.

Yes, most underrated N64 game.

>> No.534075

Nah G, that title belongs to Mischief Makers.

Also, I got Jetforce Gemini, but I want play it... I get motion sick for some reason.

I think I have to play it on a CRT.

It is a fast paced game. It starts off very easy but then it gets more and more intense and eventually matches the hecticness of the original arcade game. Personally I think it is worthy of the name Robotron.

>> No.534163

>>534115
It's horrible. Robotron 2084 was intentionally hard, Robotron 64 you can go forever without even trying.

>> No.535167

Yeah, I'd have to agree with both of these.

Maybe Goemon's Great Adventure (Mystical Ninja 2) as well, just because you never hear about it.
People only talk about Mystical Ninja.

Well I have it but if you're going to get a console to play it, be sure to get an expansion pak as well. The framerate sucks on some enemy or explosion heavy parts

>> No.535317

Turok 3. Amazing FPS which easily rivals stuff like Half Life. Ignored because of Perfect Dark, and people getting it confused with Rage Wars.

>> No.535429

>>535308

I don't think the expansion pack helps much at all

>> No.535489

>>535429
JFG doesn't use the Expansion Pack. Nor does Bad Fur Day or Banjo Tooie. It's still important to get one, though. Stuff like Indiana Jones really benefits from it. And you need it for DK64, Perfect Dark, and Majora's Mask.

>> No.535502

>>535489
Actually, it's compatible. It makes the game run better because of the extra RAM. The textures are a little better too.

That game seems like it has the Earthbound effect. Originally it was underrated but damn near everyone knows about it these days but still claims it is underrated.

That game's sweet. It's a really slow paced game that's all about taking care not to get hit.

The bosses suck, and there are some enemies in the final missions which are really terrible.

Ninjas that run up to your face and take off all your health in one unblockable melee strike. When you've been having gunfights through warehouses and sewers the whole game.

Also, you play a guy called Jean Luc Cougar!

Too bad the special squad that takes part in Operation Winback is called... SCAT.

>> No.536079

I dare anyone to find a more underrated N64 game than Turok 3. Critics liked it, and it's got a tiny cult reputation. But it's so obscure, the Wikipedia page writers were asking if anyone had actually ever played it.

The game has THREE Metacritic user reviews. That is pretty staggering.

The only Pokemon game really based on the Anime, which makes it the only Pokemon game with Real Team Rocket and Real Gary Oak in. That alone has to be worth a million points.

The fact that it's god damn Panel de-fucking Tetris Attack is just icing on the cake.

AND the stupid trivia that the title 'Pokemon (puzzle) League' became interpreted as '(pokemon) Puzzle Leagu, meaning that all the subsequent PDP/TA games are now named after an event from the Pokemon world, is just the stupid cherry on the icing on the cake.

>> No.536113

I've seen nothing but praise for JetForce Gemini. It's not as well known as many other games, but it's one of THE most common games you'll see mentioned as an overlooked gem. It's definitely not underrated. It's just not rated as often as something like OoT.

I'm going to assume that your definition of "underrated" is not many people played it but it was actually really good.

Wave Race 64. Same goes for the GameCube one, really. Both were fantastic.

Also, Star Wars Episode I Racer.

I bought that game for a penny from GAME when they were shutting down.

I played it once, won a track, never played it again. I was thinking of taking it apart and maybe reusing the board for a flashcart or something but it's really heavy inside so maybe there's GOLD in there or something.
