ITT: We bathe in the everlasting glory of Retroarch.

Retroarch is love. Retroarch is life. Retroarch has less input lag than original hardware.

why not shake hands? Why not be cool together, hardwarefags and emufags hand in hand?

I am emulator guy all the way but I know people with few hardware machines + couple of games on each system and its cool.

but I cant understand people collecting entire console sets. Do you play all of these? I mean no hate, but certainly its not what I would do

collecting good games to play I get, collecting shovelware that is just going to clutter your house and be a fire hazard I don't understand.

Been messing around with Lakka on a beater system. It's a minimal linux live USB that acts like an AIO console via Retroarch. It's actually really fucking cool (and completely portable from USB with saves, roms, and all). The XMB-style menu makes people sperg out I guess, but it doesn't bother me. It's easy enough to figure out how to do most everything within a half hour without looking anything up. Using an Xbox S-Type controller via USB and it just works with all the damn emus with no config (shit like this makes me happy).

emulation is for the young and poor
collecting games is for the stupid
real hardware and flashcarts is patrician

im interested in this. i put lakka on a hard drive and wanted to use it (maybe a year or so ago) but it was saying i could only load roms onto it via network which sucked cause i didnt have this little computer on a network. can you side load roms onto a lakka pc now?

I gotta say I did not like the interface at all. I find Dos based emulators easier to use than this shit.

Does anybody know how to remove those buttons on top on Android?

I am looking forward to getting something put together to use with my TV, but after seeing examples of crt royale I need to just save for the full package later. Not to mention emulation for ps2 needing more power than I can pay for. I'm just eagerly watching retroarch.

Can you do runahead with standalone emulators? Because runahead is what makes Retroarch worth using over anything else

I cannot get a wireless controller to work with retroarch on my new pc. It worked in Win8, but Win 10 is all NOPE! The controller works with literally everything else wirelessly on my pc except retroarch. Any ideas on how to fix it?
